About Joyo

Joyo is a free website for playing browser games. Every game runs on this page: there is nothing to download, no account to create and no app to install. It is run by an independent publisher.

How games are chosen

Games come from licensed HTML5 game distributors that allow websites to embed their games. Before a game is listed, it must load on current browsers, have a clear description and instructions, and suit a general audience. Games with gambling, adult themes or graphic violence are left out.

Each game page adds our own notes: the controls in plain words, whether it works on phones, and similar games you may like. Players can like a game or report one that does not work; games with many problem reports are hidden until we check them.

How the site is paid for

Joyo is free because it shows ads. Ads appear around the games, never on top of the play area. Some games also show their own short ads, which are run by the game distributor.
